Porsche 924S & 944 8-valve Cylinder Head Refurbishment

This service includes the following:

1. Skim the cylinder head gasket face.

2. Check the valve seal and correct any non sealing valves (assuming they are not bent or otherwise unusable).

3. Check the valve guides (they are often hardly worn), replacement of the guides is extra.

4. Replace the valve stem seals.

5. Wash the cylinder head.

This will ensure your cylinder head is fit for re-use on your engine. Replacement of valve guides is quoted for after inspection if required as are any other remedial works. With respect to the valve guides, many people wonder why we don't simply replace them. The reason is we have found that the majority of heads are well within specification even after many miles which means for many customers its an unnecessary expense. Please note not all cylinder heads can be refurbished as it does depend on the material condition of the head.

By default we expect customers to collect the cylinder head in person, due to potential damage during shipping. However we can deliver them if required. Please call to discuss.
